Judge Jules D. Edwards III, now revered as Saint Jules Edwards, was a man whose life embodied the highest principles of justice, compassion, and devotion to his faith. Born on November 14, 1957, Saint Jules dedicated his life to the pursuit of fairness and equality, leaving an indelible mark on the Lafayette, Louisiana community and beyond.

A Distinguished Career of Service

Saint Jules Edwards served on the 15th Judicial District Court from 1993 until 2020, presiding with wisdom, integrity, and fairness. He became Chief Judge from 2001 to 2003, where he continued to impact the legal system and set a high standard for judicial leadership. In 2022, driven by his passion for justice and his commitment to serving his community, he was elected to the Lafayette City Court, where he began serving in 2023.

As a veteran of the United States Marines and the Louisiana National Guard, Saint Jules was also a dedicated patriot. His life of service extended beyond the courtroom, as he was known for his deep involvement in the community and his unshakable commitment to improving the lives of those around him.
